Terms of Service

Solifacet operates the marketplace and related services described in these Terms.

1. Acceptance and Eligibility

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Solifacet, governing your access to and use of solifacet.com and all related services (the “Service”).

By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Shipping & Risk-of-Loss Policy, and Return, Refund & Dispute Policy.

The Service is restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and possess the legal authority to form binding contracts under applicable law.

2. Marketplace Role

Solifacet operates a curated marketplace for fine jewelry and precious stones. Solifacet is the trusted intermediary — it does not present itself as the maker or owner of the pieces. Solifacet provides the platform, listing review, documentation checks, and seller vetting.

  • Marketplace facilitator: Solifacet acts as an independent intermediary and facilitator, not as the retail merchant of record, manufacturer, or legal owner of items listed by third-party sellers.
  • Contract of sale: An inquiry is not a binding offer. Purchase terms are confirmed in writing before payment.
  • Roles of buyers and sellers: Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings and the fulfillment of orders. Buyers are responsible for reviewing listing details and transaction terms before purchase.

3. Listing Information

Listings are reviewed before publication. Materials, condition, measurements, and claims are reviewed for clarity. Certificates and supporting records are checked when they apply. Sellers are vetted before they can list.

Despite these reviews, Solifacet does not independently verify every physical attribute of every piece. “Verified” in Solifacet’s marketing means listing review, documentation check when applicable, and seller vetting — not independent laboratory testing of every attribute. Each seller remains responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their listing information.

4. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for its intended purpose: browsing listings, making inquiries, and completing transactions as a buyer or seller in accordance with these Terms. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service in good faith.

5. Purchase Process

Purchases begin with an inquiry submitted through the marketplace. An inquiry is not a binding offer. Purchase terms are confirmed in writing before payment.

The specific transaction terms — including price, shipping, and return eligibility — are presented before purchase. Solifacet supports international sales; for international orders, the buyer pays shipping based on the shipping option they choose. Solifacet reserves the right to decline or cancel any transaction that does not meet marketplace standards.

6. Cancellation and Disputes

Cancellation and dispute procedures are governed by the transaction terms presented before purchase and the Return, Refund & Dispute Policy.

7. Shipping and Returns

Shipping and return terms are set forth in the Shipping & Risk-of-Loss Policy and the Return, Refund & Dispute Policy, which are incorporated by reference. Solifacet supports international sales; for international orders, the buyer pays shipping based on the shipping option they choose.

8. Intellectual Property

The Solifacet name, wordmark, user interface designs, and editorial content are the intellectual property of Solifacet and protected by applicable laws. Sellers grant Solifacet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and promote their submitted listing images and descriptions across the marketplace.

9. DMCA / Copyright Complaints

Solifacet respects the intellectual property rights of others and responds to notices of alleged copyright infringement. If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please contact us at solifacet@gmail.com with identifying details and proof of ownership.

10. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • List counterfeit, stolen, or misrepresented items;
  • Circumvent marketplace communication channels or attempt off-platform transactions;
  • Manipulate listing details or pricing;
  • Deploy automated scrapers or bots against the Service;
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOLIFACET DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOLIFACET SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL SOLIFACET’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

13. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any controversy, claim, or dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting Solifacet in good faith before initiating any formal legal proceeding.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

15. Seller Terms

Sellers participating in the Solifacet marketplace are subject to separate seller terms and onboarding standards, which must be agreed to prior to listing any pieces in the marketplace.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Service.
